We depart from the medieval town of Fiesole, just outside of Florence. Walking along stonemasons' path and country roads among Chianti Colli Fiorentini's olive groves and vineyards, we'll have the chance to see works carved on pietra serena made during a contest of contemporary artists.
We continue on a steep path, even if short, which leads us to Piazzale Leonardo da Vinci. In a stele the phrase with which Leonardo persuaded one of his workers to throw himself into the void of the underlying quarry attached to the flying machine of his invention is reported. Continue along the wall then the small road begins to descend until the entrance to the park of Prato ai Pini.
Along the route, your guide will describe the traditional production processes for olive oil and wine making, and will help you appreciate the environments that are typical of the Florentine countryside: olive groves, vineyards, villas and towns.
We'll have a lunch in a typical Florentine osteria where we will be served a tasteful lunch, including olive oil and Chianti wine tastings.
