If you are a bike enthusiast and weekend rider that is not afraid of riding up hills, and you are looking for an authentic experience, this is the Tuscany bike tour for you!
This is our most time-tested tour: Since the 90’s many come back for it!
Spend a full day outside Florence riding through the famous town of Fiesole and the Tuscan hills, accompanied by a friendly and experienced guide.
A family-run Chianti winery visit is included. Here you will visit the ancient cellars and the “Orciaia“, learn about wine and Extra Virgin Olive Oil making.
A Tuscan multi-course lunch is the highlight of the day at our favorite traditional family-run trattoria.
Electric bikes are available on request!
With the departure right from our office in Florence, this is what we like to call our “green” tour, meaning no shuttle vans and no support vehicles, no carbon footprint – just you, your bike and your bilingual guide.
After crossing the historical center of Florence, we ride along the Arno river until we get to the bottom of the Ceceri mountain, at the top of which stands the beautiful town of Fiesole, surrounded by lush forests and ancient Villas.
Once arrived in Fiesole, you’ll get to see one of the best views of Florence!
After a stop in the piazza, we keep riding East to reach the Chianti winemaking area.
The ride then continues further into the hills where you will eat at our favorite local Trattoria (La casa del prosciutto) – which is claimed by many of our guests to be one of the best meals of their trip!
On the return trip back to Florence, we stop at a local family-run Chianti winery to see where their wine is made and stored, and take a look at their personal stash of olive oil. Your guide will talk about the way wine is produced in Chianti and the secrets of extra virgin olive oil.
Purchase of both wine and oil are available at the farm.
The return ride to Florence is mostly downhill, passing through a forest with castles and small wine producers.
You will be back to our shop no later than 4.30 pm, ready for an aperitivo or a gelato, we’ll point you the right way for a special one!
- Upgrade to an e-bike for an extra €35 per person!
