Ride beyond the beaten path on an E-Bike through Florence’s hills, with olive oil in the countryside

See the best of the countryside surrounding Florence and Tuscany on an E-bike, in just 2.5 hours!  You will have the chance to see the most hidden corners of the Florentine hills and Tuscany: so much greenery, vineyards, olive trees, and tiny roads. The ride is about 7 miles of distance, so not a race and manageable for anyone, especially with an E-bike! But if you are looking for a more complete E-biking experience that also includes a full lunch with Chianti wine tasting at a farm, please check out our epic full-day Chianti Classico E-bike tour.

NOTE: On Mondays, the usual venue is closed so we will have a high-quality artisan Florentine gelato OR a traditional Italian breakfast at an artisan pastry shop instead of the olive oil with bread! (depends on the opening of the shops)

At our bike depot, in the quiet and lively “Oltrarno” area of Florence, we will fit you with an electric bicycle that will make you breeze past those Tuscan hills!
You will get the chance to see some great Tuscan landscapes that are just outside Florence while visiting the ancient town of Pian dei Giullari, where Galileo used to live!

Along the way, we’ll stop at an olive oil producer that is also a restaurant, surrounded by beautiful gardens and the olive orchard. Here we will get to taste their olive oil with homemade bread, while the guide will explain the process of olive harvesting and production of hand-picked extra virgin olive oil.

We will be riding in the countryside for some fantastic views along picturesque countryside roads, to end up in San Miniato al Monte hilltop church, our favourite viewpoint over Florence, much quieter than the popular Michelangelo square.

With this brief but fulfilling ride, you will get a great introduction to the Oltrarno area of town and to the Florentine noble hills nestled in the beautiful Tuscan countryside; plus get to taste fresh olive oil and bread from the producer!
