The Best Way to Learn About and Taste Chianti Wine

Join us for a full-day tour of the Chianti area, the best way to discover this amazing wine. A short trip to Impruneta town, located just a few kilometres from Florence, makes up the first part of the day. Impruneta is internationally renowned for its long tradition of terracotta production and is a must-visit destination for enthusiasts of artisanal craftsmanship.

We take a nice walk in the main square of the town and then we move to the first boutique winery, as we only select small family-run wineries, for a chance to taste distinct wines.

For lunchtime, we reach the second winery in an ancient medieval hamlet in the countryside where Machiavelli used to live. This historic place also claims the oldest restaurant in Tuscany. We will visit the historic wine underground cellars and Machiavelli’s house. After the tour, we will be ready for another wine tasting paired with a traditional multi-course Tuscan lunch. There will be time to settle in the quiet life and beautiful views before continuing our trip to the third and last boutique winery.

At this last wine estate, you also have the chance to taste their wines here – not only Chianti – in order to learn more and compare different kinds of grapes and blends. The way back offers another chance to take pictures of the wonderful Tuscan scenery!
