Come enjoy the best PRIVATE 4-hour bike tour of Tuscany starting right from Florence!

If you are in Florence and want to explore the Tuscan countryside in just half a day, this is the tour for you!

This best-selling private tour includes all the good stuff about our region: great views of Florence from the top, hillside Villas and the famous rolling hills, cycling on amazing countryside roads, a fun local guide, and a visit to a farm with an amazing tasting of self-produced olive oil, fresh Tuscan bread, and a glass of Chianti wine paired with local cold cuts!

Starting from our office in the less touristy Oltrarno neighbourhood, this scenic 4-hour bike ride offers a striking contrast between Florence’s historic cityscape and the rolling Tuscan countryside.

The journey begins with about an hour of cycling, taking you through the ancient and imposing Porta Romana gate — the only remaining entrance to Florence still enclosed by original 13th-century city walls, visible only in this part of town!

Our first hill climb (1.3 km / 0.8 mi) winds through a charming residential area. Once at the top, you’ll notice Florence already feels far behind as we get closer to the peaceful countryside. This is the longest uphill of the day — the remaining three are much shorter, so no need to worry!

As we ride along narrow, centuries-old roads into the countryside, we’ll make several photo stops and take time to learn about the local flora and fauna along the way.

We will stop to relax and taste our light Tuscan snack of local products and a glass of Chianti wine with extra virgin olive oil with homemade bread. All products are locally sourced if not produced on the premises.

Our return leg back to Florence will take us by the spectacular San Miniato al Monte Church, one of the best views of Florence where we will stop for pictures – most visitors miss this incredible sight as it’s not easy to get to from town.

We continue downhill from there and back into Florence, coming into the San Niccolo area, and a ride to our favourite gelateria to top off the perfect half-day outing!
