Explore Chianti and Tuscany in an active and sustainable way and have lunch in a vineyard
Experience Chianti Classico hills on an electric mountain bike, escorted by a fun and knowledgeable guide.
On this mostly off-road experience, mostly on easy to ride dirt roads, you will experience great and untouched panoramas of the real Tuscany and Chianti!
The ride on our Electric bikes is going to be an easy-moderate difficulty, and previous experience on a mountain bike is suggested. If the trail is muddy or the weather is rainy, we have an alternative paved road route to still enjoy the day with beautiful views.
We will also visit a Chianti Classico wine estate and the ancient underground cellars, the Italian style gardens of the farm and then taste three of their wines and Extra Virgin olive oil while enjoying a traditional light lunch.
This is a semi-private small group tour!
The property you will visit has been owned by an ancient noble family of Florence for centuries, and it’s still run by them.
The ancient cellars are below the beautiful Villa and the Italian style gardens that we will visit. We will also have a peek at the “Orciaia“, a room filled with giant terracotta pots where wine and oil used to be stored since Roman times, and the “Frantoio“, the facility where the olives are pressed to produce the world-renowned Tuscan Extra Virgin Olive Oil.
We are then ready for a full Tuscan lunch and tastings at the Osteria of the Villa.
Lunch includes an appetizer, first course, dessert and coffee!
We will also taste 3 different wines and 2 types of olive oil, all produced on the premises.
The minimum age to participate is 14 years old and the minimum height is 5’2’’/160cm.
The off-road part of the Tour is about 50% of the itinerary, and previous experience riding a mountain bike is preferred. There are going to be some steeper hills, but the electric bikes will make it easy to climb them.
Good physical shape is required. For an easier but still beautiful bike ride, check our Chianti Classico bike tour!
